Guest Host Carl Edwards is in the parking lot doing donuts, basically the same shit they did last time they had NASCAR dudes hosting. And yeah the dude drove the car into the arena too. Hornswoggle comes out of the car like he was driving it. Kelly Kelly announces Edwards to the ring. The dude does a standing moonsault from the top rope!? Well, shit I guess this dude is excited. He shills the crowd by mentioning the Super Bowl champions, the New Orleans Saints. He talks about some driving shit coming up, keep turning left dude. This dude tries to tell us he’s friends with Jean Shorts which brings out WWE Champion Sheamus. He comes out and demands Edwards to make him the last competitor to come out in the Elimination Chamber match. Sheamus threatens the dude until… oh shit, ECW Champion Christian’s music hits!!
Christian comes out and introduces himself to Edwards but Sheamus is pissed about getting interrupted. Christian is offended that Edge didn’t mention him when he was talking about WrestleMania but then brings up the end of ECW. Christian then clowns Sheamus, which pops the crowd. Christian mentions that in two weeks all the ECW superstars will be free agents, free to go to either show. Christian challenges Sheamus to a match tonight, he says that he and Sheamus were born without last names. Haha. Edwards makes the match for right now.
WWE Champion Sheamus beat ECW Champion Christian when Sheamus hit the bicycle kick which lead to the Razor’s Edge for the pin. Good opening match tonight, Christian made Sheamus look solid. I hope where ever they end up putting Christian, he keeps the ECW Title and they continue to use it. But maybe that’s wishful thinking.
DX in the back watching the last match on TV. HBK tries to make a positive out of his losses with the Rumble and not getting into the Elimination Chamber match. He says that DX can go to WrestleMania since they’ve never been there. HHH says it might not happen since he IS in the Elimination Chamber match which he is winning and going to WrestleMania. HBK gets pissed that its all about HHH now… Hey Shawn, now you know how the rest of us feel about HHH.
They show the after show footage of Jean Shorts saving Bret Hart but then getting his ass handed to him for doing so. I guess this means we’re getting a Batista/Jean Shorts match at ‘Mania? Well, it keeps both of them out of the main event…right?
Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase in the back being pissy about who got into the Chamber match and who didn’t. Ted says he is better than Cody cause he got into the match. Randy comes into the pissing contest. Ted is facing Jean Shorts tonight and Cody is facing Orton tonight.
In the back the Straightedge Society does the walk backstage.
United States Champion The Miz and The Big Show won a Triple Threat Elimination Match for the Unified Tag Team Titles against DX and The Straightedge Society when DX starts to argue and Miz rolls up HBK for the win and the titles. Smackdown GM Teddy Long is at ringside for some reason. Before the match CM Punk gets onto the mic and makes fun of New Orleans and their “partying ways” in light of the Superbowl and Marti Gras. Punk then singles out Jared from Subway. He tries to convert Jared to be the spokesperson for the Straightedge Society. He’s not having it but Punk wants to make an example out of him. He sends Gallows and Serena after him but then the DX music hits to ruin everything, which leads into the match getting started quick. Damn is this the first time we’re seeing HBK vs. Punk?? Am I wrong with that?! HBK lands the superkick on Punk, 1..2..3.. DAMMIT!!!! Punk and Gallows are eliminated first, its down to DX and ShowMiz. After the match DX argues and HBK takes off pissed. Good match and solid win for Miz and Show!
In the back Miz and Show are with Josh Mathews. Show said he and Miz did what JeriShow couldn’t do and beat DX. At the end they bicker if the name of the team should be MizShow but Show gets Miz to stick with ShowMiz. Funny.
In the back HBK catches up with Teddy Long, he wants to be traded to Smackdown and put into their Elimination Chamber match. Long says that match is set already. HHH comes in and is pissed that HBK wants to throw away DX for this. HBK says his career is over. Shit?! Does this mean that his match with Taker WILL be a career vs. streak match!!!? That’s not good… Before HBK takes off he superkicks Teddy Long.
Gail Kim beats Jillian quick with Maryse at ringside. After the match Maryse kisses Gail Kim’s ass but then says some shit in French again. Maryse offers her hand, they shake and nothing happens!?
The first inductee to the WWE Hall of Fame 2010 is…THE MILLION DOLLAR MAN, TED DIBIASE! Good shit! The video segment was good but DiBiase really needs his own DVD set already! Oh the Million Dollar Championship. Haha
In the back Edwards is with Jared and a bunch of Subway sandwiches. Santino comes in and does his version of the $5 foot long song. Santino wants a match against Swagger for taking him out of the Rumble. He gets it on Superstars. Kofi is in and wants the RAW Chamber guys to have individual matches next week with our guest host….Jerry Springer. Oh crap, this might just be PAINFUL.
Cody Rhodes beats Randy Orton with the crossroads! Fuck yeah! Orton was manhandling Cody when Sheamus comes down and distracts Orton for the Cody win. Sheamus then beats up on Orton until Cody comes in with a chair to save Orton. Hit Orton with the chair!…ah didn’t happen. Oh well. Ha.
Jean Shorts does the walk of shame backstage.
Josh Mathews with Carl Edwards backstage. Edwards says next week all the guys from the EC match will wrestle next week. Sheamus vs. Orton, Ted vs. Kofi and HHH vs. Jean Shorts… so the same ol’ shit. Nice try car driving guy.
Before the Jean Shorts/Ted DiBiase match could start Shorts beats up on Ted on the outside. Whatever. Shorts then gets on the mic and wants to fight Batista. He wants Batista to come out to face him. They go to break, when they come back Shorts is still jabbin’ away. Shorts then brings up McMahon as he is finally putting the pieces together on why he was attacked. No shit moron. Now he wants to talk to McMahon since he finally gets that Batista isn’t there. Vince comes out with a bunch of security guys. Shorts tries to intimidate Vince but Vince still walks into the ring on his own. Vince calls himself the “alpha male”, Monty Brown is gonna sue someone now! Vince then talks about spitting into Bret’s face but had nothing to do with paying Batista to beat up shorts. They argue about Vince only loving the money. Jean Shorts tries to tell us he does this for the love of it…right dude. Louisiana is eating up the shit out of Jean Shorts mouth. Lame story short, Shorts said that Bret wants to wrestle another match, at WrestleMania against Vince McMahon. Yeah good luck with that, he ain’t wrestling no one. Jean Shorts keeps trying to get an answer out of Vince until he blows up and says yes, he will wrestle Bret at ‘Mania. Shorts leaves after Vince says yes and Vince continues to cut down Bret. Bret Hart then comes out of the crowd and attacks Vince and his security guys. Vince then says NO to Bret’s match at ‘Mania cause Bret deserves to be screwed. Bret then starts to throw things around and shit starts sparking, oops Bret trips over some shit! Bret then begins to flip out ala Montreal Screw Job and destroy the announce table.
Bret definitely looked better than he did last week and more “with it”. Strange show tonight though…
