World Heavyweight Title Triple Threat Match in a Steel Cage
Daniel Bryan retains against Big Show and Mark Henry via cage escape

  • Daniel Bryan comes out first. Boo! Champions should always come out last.

Great Puma: Good but short opener. Really interesting finish with Daniel Bryan hanging from Big Show’s right arm on the edge of the cage. St. Louis was pretty amped with the Daniel Bryan chants.

Mascara de Fuego: Good opener, Bryan worked his balls off and took beatings from both Henry and Show. Glad they kept the title on Bryan for at least ONE pay per view!

Royal Rumble Results: 1st Hour

January 31, 2010

Quick results from the ATL:

1.  Christian opens the show.  Lawler, Cole and Striker are calling the matches.  Nice line up.  Nice emphasis on Ezekial’s power from Striker.  Springboard Plancha by Christian.  Ezekial does power moves: slams and clubs to the back and chest. Zeke throws Christian outside with Regal ready to get some shots in.  Ref sends Regal from ringside.  Christian wins with the Kill Switch.  Nice match that finally establishes Ezekial as a legit threat with power moves.

 2.  The Miz over MVP via roll up.  Decent match.  MVP controlled most the match until the surprise roll up.

ROH at WrestleReunion Results

January 30, 2010

Decent crowd filled up the International Ballroom at the Hilton near LAX.  Lots of PWG chants.  Who knew people would treat ROH like Faker fans treat the Celtics?  Weird.  Anyways, on with the quick and dirty results:

1.  El Generico & Colt Cabana deafeated Scott Lost & Scorpio Sky via Colt 45 on Sky.  Great opener.  Some ridiculous double teams by Lost and Sky.  Cabana and Generico are always gold in their own right.

2.  Necro Butcher defeated Erick Stevens via roll up.  Joey Ryan interferes.  Both Embassy members gave Necro a post match beat down.  A “BUMP” road sign was involved.

3.  Roderick Strong over Delirious via powerbomb after a wicked back driver onto the ring apron edge.  Good match between both men.  Delirious was really gracious with the fans out in the lobby.
