Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose

Masacara De Fuego: Dean Ambrose. Ambrose needs this win AND to main event this pay per view if we are to see him as a main event player. This is make-it-or-break-it time for this character and its time to give other guys a try to see if they sink or swim. Rollin’s roll in this match should be to make Ambrose look like a million bucks! I’m hoping that this will be the match that not only stands out but gets high praise for 2014.

Great Puma: Ambrose. This is a full mark pick and I wholeheartedly agree with MDF’s argument. Rollins is already established as a big deal and the people have bought in. Ambrose seems to still be on the fence with a lot of the fans. I don’t think the Gallagher shenanigans are doing Ambrose any favors, but I do think he should keep the ketchup and mustard attack. I think a sick promo, a few great moments in the ring, and a win are exactly what Ambrose needs to be pushed into the main event circle.

July 28, 2014

Word came out late Sunday night that Spike TV is opting not to renew TNA’s contract. The news even made it to the main stream as TMZ has even picked up the story. Even  more strange are the stories that Vince Russo being involved with TNA still could have a deciding factor for Spike to sever ties with the organization.

So, what now?

At the moment it looks like TNA and Spike are trying to negotiate something out of this news. Possibly in regards to staying with the cable channel or an extension until TNA can find a new home.

IMPACT was still pulling a decent rating and if Spike doesn’t want wrestling anymore, maybe TNA could look at lesser known channels like ION who use to carry the WWE’s Main Event Sh0w.

If TNA does go under for lack of finding a new home, one could only imagine that it would be a matter of time before the WWE would purchase their library for the WWE Network. This could be a good move if for just filling in the void of explaining Sting’s career after WCW folded.

This is a big blow to the wrestling community and we will have more on this situation as it unfolds.

WWE Battleground – Predictions

July 20, 2014

Battleground Seth Dean 2014

Fatal Four Way for the WWE Title

John Cena vs. Kane vs. Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns

Mascara De Fuego: Cena. Its fairly obvious that Hunter’s plan “C” is Brock Lesnar. I still think it’s a great idea to put it on Lesnar and it only makes sense against Cena. He gets vengeance for losing his first match back to the fed which was against Cena many moons ago. Not a bad selling point. The match should be good but not great.

Great Puma: Cena. The cat is outta the bag ain’t it? Promotional poster leaks of Cena vs. Lesnar at Summerslam are all over the interwebz. Is the WWE smart enough to use web leaks to sway their audience in a different direction? I’m thinking not. I expect Reigns to get the most shine despite the inevitable LOLCENAWINS outcome. Looking forward to Brock Lesnar destroying Super Cena in August.

Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins

Great Puma: Rollins. People love the chase. The WWE loves the chase. If Ambrose wins, this feud dies. Rollins winning by cowardly, heel ways, would push the storyline and just make the crowd adore Dean Ambrose more. I say Ambrose kicks Rollins ass for thirteen to fifteen minutes, and then Rollins wins with a lot of help from his Authority stablemates. And the beat goes on and on and on and on…

Mascara De Fuego: Ambrose. Man, I really hope this is match of the night. Feels right about time to do this match and Ambrose needs a good win after this week’s beat down. I can’t wait to see these two finally working against each other.
