WWE Elimination Chamber Predictions

Elmination Chamber 2014

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match

Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus vs. Cesaro

Mascara De Fuego: Randy Orton. I would love to see Bryan or even Cesaro walk out with the title but I don’t think they are going to steer from their plans. Unfortunately we’re still getting a cold ass title match for WrestleMania. Should be a good match and it should set up Cena’s WrestleMania match and possibly even Bryan’s.

Great Puma: Randy Orton. This match will determine where all its participants will fit into the Wrestlemania card. It will also answer the question of who’s going to take CM Punk’s spot versus Triple H. The crowd definitely will be rooting for Daniel Bryan to win here, but I think the WWE still has its heart set on Batista vs. Orton, Cena vs. Bray, and Bryan vs. Triple H.

Intercontinental Champion Big E vs. Jack Swagger

Great Puma: Big E. Unless Big E is given bigger things than the IC title at Wrestlemania, Swagger is not going over here. Big E is still someone the WWE wants to push, and this match is another step on his path to greatness.

Mascara De Fuego:  Big E. Good for Swagger that he’s getting a push but I don’t think it will matter here. They are feeding him to Big E.

Darren Young vs. Titus O’Neil

Mascara De Fuego: Titus. I don’t care about this feud or Titus trying to stand out with his yelling promo on RAW.

Great Puma: Titus. Okay Titus, the WWE has given you your chance with the ball. I’m hoping both of them make each other look good in the process.

WWE Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws vs. The Usos

Great Puma: The Uso’s. The princes of Total Divas get the win here. They deserve it. The Uso’s have been nothing but stellar in the ring for the past year. I don’t really need to see the New Age Outlaws at Wrestlemania. I didn’t like them during their peak, and I don’t care for them now. The time for building and establishing your young talent is now.

Mascara De Fuego:  The Uso’s. If the reason they put the titles on the Outlaws was to give the Uso’s a chance to win the belts, then I am all for it. It made more sense to go this route then have the Rhodes brother drop it to the Uso’s. I do worry about the tag team division as it seems like they are splitting up a lot of teams. As I keep saying, they need to take this group of guys that are on the roster not doing much and team guys together to at least give them a chance to do something with their careers. I do hope that if they put the titles on the Uso’s that they get a decent title run.

Cody Rhodes & Goldust vs. Ryback & Curtis Axel (Kickoff Match)

Mascara De Fuego: Ryback & Axel. I’m hoping for a good kick off show match here. Might not be the show stealing match that the Rhodes have had in the recent past but I do hope its at least entertaining.

Great Puma: The Rhodes Brothers. I suppose they have to make Ryback and Curtis Axel look formidable so they can look like somewhat strong against whoever their Wrestlemania opponents are. I don’t think putting over Ryback and Axel at the expense of the Rhodes Brothers, who were recent tag team champions, is very wise.

The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family

Great Puma: The Wyatt Family. My inner mark wants to see the Shield go over here but this match is all about Bray Wyatt. He’ll get the pin and look strong, while the Shield unintentionally steal the spotlight again. I hope they don’t pull the trigger on breaking up the Shield. There’s found money in the Shield, and the WWE can make so much more money in the future if they keep Ambrose, Reigns, and Rollins together. They don’t always have to wrestle in six-man tags but they should always be part of the Shield.

Mascara De Fuego: Wyatt’s. I am hoping this match steals the show. Its been the best pushed match of this card. The subtle teases of their confrontations have been awesome. The only concern I have for this match is that it will end up being a screwy finish with either Ambrose costing Reigns the match or a miscue that costs the Shield the match. Ultimately it will be a planned botch that will cost the Shield the win and give Bray the strong pin he will need to go into his Mania match with Cena.

Batista vs. Alberto Del Rio

Mascara De Fuego:  Batista. Its pretty unfortunate that Batista is suffering since his comeback. It’s a case of the wrong place and the wrong time. I have a feeling that if they would have even planned out the Rumble match a little differently, Batista would be a character that the crowd wouldn’t be so indifferent about. Worst of all, Del Rio has suffered the most in this situation and is such an afterthought that I would be shocked/surprised if he made it to a WrestleMania match. Such a shame. I’m not sure what they can do to save Batista but putting the title on him at a time when all people want to see is Daniel Bryan is definitely a bad idea…

Great Puma: Batista. WWE wants you to want Batista to win here. They want you to care about Batista en route to his title match at Wrestlemania. Unfortunately, the crowd’s apathy towards Batista is just collateral damage from their poor booking decisions. Batista takes this match because the WWE doesn’t know what to do with Alberto Del Rio, and it’s too late to change Batista’s trajectory. They already had Batista obliterate Del Rio on Raw so the importance of this match has already been diminished. It’s been good watching you wrestle, Del Rio, I’ll see you restore your legacy in Mexico.
