SmackDown Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Daniel Bryan defeats Kane, Sheamus, Sin Cara,  Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater

  • Sin Cara comes out in white and gold!
  • Sheamus just murdered Sin Cara with a powerbomb from the apron onto the ladder!
  • Kane drops Sheamus with a chokeslam on a ladder.
  • Bryan puts Cody in a guillotine, then kicks Wade Barrett down the ladder. He goes up and takes down the briefcase for the win.
  • HUGE DANIEL BRYAN chants from Chicago!

Great Puma: Match was hot from the start. The four consecutive out of the ring dives was an amzing touch. The stunts just got bigger and more spectacular every minute. Kudos to all wrestlers involved and congrats to Daniel Bryan!

Mascara de Fuego: Great match and a greater outcome! Couldn’t ask for anything different! So good.

Chavo Guerrero drops truth bombs on Super Cena

July 17, 2011

On the day of one of the biggest WWE pay per views in recent history, Chavo Guerrero tweeted an insightful and poignant plea to John Cena to bring his A game and to not be lazy in his match with CM Punk tonight. You can read the letter in its entirety after the jump. Here’s a juicy excerpt from Chavo’s message to John Cena:

Eddie & I taught u different..We never said “get lazy” & do the same thing every night. We always said” think out of the box” & give the fans what they deserve & not rely On the “machine”to ” get u over”. I hope this lights a fire under your ass & U deliver this Sunday.

Money in the Bank Predictions (3 of 3)

World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton vs. Christian

Mascara De Fuego: I look forward to this match because Christian does bring out the best in Randy Orton. Should be a good match but as for the outcome? I think they’ve made it obvious it will be Randy Orton.

Great Puma: Really, if Christian loses again, I will officially lose interest in the main event scene on Smackdown. It’s Christian who is making this feud interesting, while Randy Orton is just being Randy Orton. The crowd will be into Randy Orton as long as he keeps doing his stoic promos and RKO’ing anybody and everybody not named John Cena. Christian deserves another title run for all of his hardwork over the years and I think a lengthy heel title run will put Christian’s character over the top.

WWE Champion John Cena vs. CM Punk

Mascara De Fuego: Well here we go, the reason why we are all tuning in.

Great Puma: Mr. Tough Guy Jeans needs to lose here. All of CM Punk’s hard work and brilliance will be in vain if the outcome does not equal the level of greatness of Punk’s infamous shoot. It has to be a clean win or a spectacular swerve that will leave fans dying to know what happens next.CM Punk must win. I think Rey Mysterio winning the title at the end would send the fans home happy but would probably be an abrupt and bittersweet end to such a thrilling angle.

Great Puma: Punk’s promo turned a very ordinary pay per view into a must see attraction.

Mascara De Fuego: It turned it into the must see ppv of the year! I don’t think it is a coincidence that the WWE is working on a Montreal Screwjob DVD… I have a feeling this will be the biggest angle the WWE will put on in the vein of their biggest true life story. The threat that a soon-to-be-former wrestler is going to leave the company with the WWE Title. By hook, crook or controversy CM Punk needs to leave Chicago with the WWE Title belt in hand.

FighterHayabusa off the record:

Great Puma: I hear Tyler Black is ready to get called up. Hope  that  happens.

Mascara De Fuego: they could use him to fill the Punk void… not straight edge but in that alternative look kind of dude

Great Puma: Right. Hope it doesn’t work against him but then again he’d be the blacksheep in the WWE roster.

Mascara De Fuego: did you hear they are doing focus groups in NYC on what would make old fans come back/fans more interested?

Great Puma: Yeah. Fuck them…they should read our shit. 🙂

Mascara De Fuego: haha fuck if just ONE dude reads our shit and gets a thought planted in the heads of these stale assholes, thats good enough for me. the fact that the language, content and even the mention of wrestlers has been changing in the last couple of weeks is hopefully a good sign. i love how Punk called out Vince when he was yelling at the crowd, saying “that’s the problem Vince you don’t know what they want in 2011”

Great Puma: EXACTLY

Great Puma: I like that – Voice of the Voiceless.

Great Puma: Rock hit Cena hard. Cena just sounds desperate right about now. He dares bring up GLAAD when he started doing the gay jabs first? idiot.

Mascara De Fuego: I’m not gonna lie I watched Rock’s promo twice. Dude can cut promos from the shitter and still make Cena look like an asshole. Think about it, man, in any other “era,” Cena would have just been Hercules Hernandez. Gets matches and feuds but doesn’t ever main even shit.

Great Puma: LOL @ Hercules Hernandez.

SmackDown Money in the Bank Ladder MatchKane vs. Sheamus vs. Sin Cara vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Wade Barrett vs. Justin Gabriel vs. Heath Slater

Mascara De Fuego: I think I’m going with either Sheamus or Daniel Bryan. But it all depends on what the outcome is in the end. If they are going to book this person to use the briefcase that night I’m going with Bryan. If not I think Sheamus is moving on to win the World Title down the road. Should be a good match and I hope Gabriel showcases filling the void Shelton Benjamin has left.

Great Puma: So on Sunday, MDF and I will be playing a drinking game of Sin Drunka. The rules are easy – take a shot every time Sin Cara botches a move. Is that harsh? Do I find myself cringing every time he does a ‘rana by with one foot on the shoulder and the other around his opponent’s waist? Is that by design?I see the WWE giving the briefcase to Sheamus. He’s been on a roll lately and he’s the only other person in the main event scene other than Christian and Orton. Mark Henry is sidetracked with the Big Show, which means Sheamus gets top billing in the top Smackdown Heel Sweepstakes. Unfortunately, this would mean that Orton is going over Christian in their match on the pay per view. Damn it.My personal choice is Daniel Bryan. It’s a long shot but it’s picks like this that keep me interested. Cody would be a pleasant surprise.

Raw Money in the Bank Ladder MatchRey Mysterio vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Alex Riley vs. Evan Bourne vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. The Miz vs. R-Truth vs. Jack Swagger

Mascara De Fuego: Well, I think the obvious choice is Alberto Del Rio which is why I think they might not go with him. Maybe  Mysterion? I think this briefcase will be a wash and possibly the first one cashed in that will not end with a champion being crowned. I will not be surprised if we see this MITB case cashed in after CM Punk wins the WWE Title.

Great Puma: The outcome of this match will probably determine the outcome of the CM Punk vs. Cena match later in the night. The WWE will probably have Alberto Del Rio win to place him in the role of the number one heel on RAW. In this case, Cena is a sure bet to defeat Punk later in the evening to set off Cena’s next feud for the summer.Rey Mysterio winning could be a pre-cursor to CM Punk leaving Chicago with the WWE Championship. WWE would find a way to ruin the angle and have Punk lose the title that night.Personally, I’ll be rooting for the young lions in this match. I’ll be rooting for Kofi, Evan and Truth on Sunday. It would be nice to see these three get the opportunity to shine as Mr. Money in the Bank over the next few months. Anybody but Alex Riley will be fine with me.

Money in the Bank Predictions (1 of 3)

July 16, 2011

Mascara De Fuego: Welcome everyone to the most anticipated WWE ppv review in a long time, Money In the Bank! Puma how does life find you at this moment in time?

Great Puma: Life finds me eagerly anticipating Carmageddon LA and hating every moment when it happens.

Mascara De Fuego: If you readers from outside California haven’t heard a major Los Angeles freeway is being completely shut down for this entire weekend. They’ve dubbed this, CARMAGEDDON 1. Surprised the WWE hasn’t tried to put a copyright on that name.

Great Puma: Hell, perhaps All Wheels Wrestling can use it.

Mascara De Fuego: Team Lethal!

Mascara De Fuego: So lets get into it!

Divas Champion Kelly Kelly vs. Brie Bella

Mascara De Fuego: Looks like we are starting with the barn burner of the pay per view. I’ll go with Kelly squared, in less than 5 minutes with her yelling leg drop to the back of Brie’s neck.

Great Puma: I imagine this match will be placed right before the Cena-Punk main event. I really don’t care who wins. Not out of disrespect but because I like the way I feel when I see these two on my TV. But if I had to pick, I’ll pick Kelly Kelly despite some help from the other Bella twin.

Big Show vs. Mark Henry

Mascara De Fuego: I like the build up to this match. They are really trying to get Henry over (again) as a monster. They need to spend a little more time doing the same for Big Show. I’m going with Henry in this one. It won’t be pretty but it will get the point across.

Great Puma: I’m very excited for this match. This is biggest match of Mark Henry’s career. If Henry comes off as the dominant big man like he should be, he will probably be next in line as the number one contender. This is Show’s chance to pass the torch and create a legitimate new monster in the WWE. Thus far, Show has done a great job in convincing the WWE Universe that Mark Henry is a true threat to the Big Show. I expect something spectacular in this match that will showcase all of Mark Henry’s strengths and add even more credibility to Mark Henry’s recent dominance. Simply put, Mark Henry needs this win more than Big Show.
